Most media are welcome (painting, photography, sculpture, printmaking, installations, performance, etc.); video and work in digital form, unfortunately, cannot be exhibited in our facility unless the artist provides all necessary equipment.

KAC is responsible for:

  • Publicity: website, press releases, and social media coverage (Facebook, Instagram, and e-newsletter)

  • Opening reception with refreshments provided

  • All artwork is insured while on premises

The artist is responsible for:

  • Transportation of work to/from the exhibit (including the cost of shipping); insurance is recommended for work in transit

  • Appropriate framing/presentation of work

  • Images of work, bio, and artist statement

Commission:

Works that sell while on exhibit at KAC are subject to a 30% commission; the artist retains 70%. Please take this into consideration when assigning artwork prices. Works listed as NFS (not for sale) should still list an insurance value.

The Kirkland Art Center has showcased the work of regional, national, and international artists for over 50 years. We are accepting submissions for future exhibitions. All visual media are welcome; artists at all stages in their art careers are invited to submit. Artists should keep in mind the need for a consistent and strong body of work when submitting. Submissions are considered for solo and group exhibitions.

The Kirkland Art Center gallery is housed in a former church with uninterrupted wall space along two 47-foot walls with 20-foot ceilings. Adjustable track lighting runs parallel to each wall.
